The Message of Christmas and Addressing a Knitting Elephant.

December is here, The Holiday Season is here, Jack Frost is nipping at our toes (Especially mine...) and Snowflakes are falling... At least in some places of the world, not here.

Welcome to December everyone! This is the first blog of December so welcome! Tons of Holidays are coming up; Christmas, Hanukkah (Which starts on Christmas funny enough), National Cookie Day... Yes I am not kidding you, National Cookie Day is a thing (It's this Sunday too!) and you get discounts on cookies... SCORE!

Lots of people are already getting their Christmas lights up and ready, I'm going to be traveling around with my family like we do every year looking at as many as we can find. I'm also going to be taking videos and photos so you guys can enjoy as well, look forward to that later on this month.

This house is completely decked out with Star Wars Christmas decorations, cool huh? We found all this randomly on our travels today.

With this time of the year comes Christmas music. Yes we've already got our local Christmas music station revved up and running for the Holidays. (Chrissie wouldn't have it any other way, trust me he's been bugging us for weeks now. haha) A lot of Michael Bublé has been played so far this year, like a LOT of Michael Bublé.

On the subject of Christmas and Christmas music I would like to talk about this wonderful song I came across from this wonderful school. Ridgebridge High School located in the North End of Liverpool, England is a High School dedicated to special needs students. The students, staff and friends of the school wrote, recorded and released this wonderful song called Message of Christmas.

Message of Christmas - Single, Redbridge High School

This is a perfect original Christmas song with a great message for the holiday season to listen to with the family and for your kids. You can buy this song on iTunes and the song only cost 0.99 cents (You can buy it anywhere in countries other then US and UK I believe.) and all the money raised on this song will be going to the school to help them with projects such as building specialist playground like swings for kids who have to rely on Wheelchairs. I really would hope you consider buying this song to help fund this school so the kids going here can live greater lives.

One of the reasons I'm aso passionate about this is actually because my little brother, Chrissie, who I've mentioned a bit over the past couple of months is actually a kid with Down Syndrome and Autism. He's lived with it all his life and I thought this would be a good time to announce that to my blog viewers. So yeah please donate to this wonderful school, you can check out the school's Website to learn more.

Time to start a new row of knitting! I don't really have many photos to share sadly though, because what I'm currently working on is a super top secret pattern design for my shawl. I'm making a swatch using the same size needles and type of yarn so I can practice and come up with the final design for my soon to be awesome shawl. Of course I'm still working on my sock but this has been my primary focus the past couple of days...

Oh why not I'm going to give you guys a little sneak peek at my pattern I'm working on anyway.

This is all you're going to get to see for now though, okay? This is just a swatch but I'm loving how this is coming out so far, really really excited for the future of this pattern and my shawl!

Addressing a smallish Elephant.. I am no longer affiliated with Knit Picks. Apparently people in the states of Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, and West Virginia are no longer affiliated with Knit Picks because of this Nexus State Tax stuff. This kind of sucks but oh well life goes on.

With that all said and done we're coming to the end of the blog. After my trip out with my family yesterday we came home and watched Charlie Brown's Christmas while eating some yummy Rocky Road Ice Cream.

We've watched this every Christmas for as long as I can remember. I've always been a big Peanuts fan, especially Snoopy. Snoopy is the best character. This Charlie Brown movie also teaches you not to underestimate little trees. We watch quite a few Christmas movies over the Holidays and as I have this blog now you know full well I'm going to be talking about them. Also yes you are seeing things correctly, that is a Nintendo Gamecube in the corner of the image. I may or may not be talking about that soon *Wink* *Wink*

There seems to be a lot of cool Christmas specials and movies coming on TV this year compared to last year (Which felt kind of lackluster.). We watched the Christmas at Rockefeller Center yesterday as well... but was it just me or was that not really super great this year?

Anyway hope you enjoy your day everyone! The blog for today is coming to a close. December is here and the Holiday spirit is all around. Enjoy your weekend and...

See you on Monday!

PS Don't forget to check out the next blog!
